Savvy Pro SEO this blog is written for you. I figured what better way to show my WordPress blogging experience than to do it on my WordPress blog. I started this blog back in May to document my search for a marketing job, it is used with my website started at the same time. Since then I have written about many topics related to that. I have documented the highs and lows and my successes and pit falls.

I am good candidate for the position. I work very well independently. I am dependable and I meet deadlines. I have an extensive marketing background including working with other clients implementing social media strategy. I have worked extensively in Facebook creating both pages and causes applications. I know that success in social media and web marketing dose not just involve creating, it also involves regular maintenance and updating to keep it useful and relevant to the audience.

Thanksgiving, the time to give thanks for what I have. Despite what I have written in this blog I actually have a lot to be thankful for. I have a loving family. Parents who have always supported me, even now. And I know that it will come. There are just days when I am dancing the same dance and expecting a different result.

Unexpected

The events of the last two years were not what I expected it to be. I’m not saying that it was all bad, but I’m not were I expected to be at this point in my life. All in search of this job, I’m not sure what this job is yet. I’m not sure that I ever knew what that was. I knew what society expected, but not what was my true self wanted.

There were set backs, but I grew and learned to fight for what I want.

I did it. I ventured into the world of freelancing. I figured before I try freelancing through my own company that I get good at it through a safer forum. This is new opportunity for me. With new challenges and new things to learn. But I feel I’m up to it.

The Great Wait

The moment after the interview. Did you impress them? Was it good enough? What is good? Did some one lie better than you did? All questions at least I ask after my interviews. There were some companies I never hear back from. There other companies which decide they don’t want any one that they interviewed.

My job search has posted some modest success this week. I had two interviews. I know it’s not much but it’s something. I’ve noticed that as the two years that I have gotten better at them. I’ve done enough of them up to this point I really should be getting good. The first interview was at the company in downtown St. Paul. That one seemed to flow. Like a natural banter.

The second interview was a phone interview for company in downtown Minneapolis. For a phone interview I thought it well. I carried my end of the conversation. I also seemed more relaxed since I did it at coffee shop. I should do that more often. Now the interesting part, will I get into the second round. Which is entirely out of my control.
